Andros is the island for those who still believe in miracles and lost paradises. The setting of this enchanting island is classic Aegean, elegant and modest.
In Andros you will discover countless springs with crystal clear running water, rare natural scenery, dry-stone walls and windmills, traditional and more modern elements that spring up here and there amongst the luscious green landscape, between picturesque villages and beautiful trails.
You will enjoy the sun and abandon yourselves to the caresses of the sweet Mediterranean climate while swimming in one of the many secluded or cosmopolitan beaches on the island. You will take in the colors and smells and let new feelings, unprecedented for a Cycladic island, flood your senses. Andros is the island of dreams. Once you visit this island, you will always come back.
Ateni
A long, open beach with thin golden sand. The prevailing NE winds make it unsuitable for children but ideal for water sports. Nearby, the small hill with the Agia Moni chapel on top separates this long beach from the smaller and more popular beach of Ateni, called the ?small one?. Here the water is shallow and the sand-bed is flat without surprises making this beach ideal for children to swim and play in.
Ahla
One of the island?s most inaccessible beaches of exquisite beauty; here you will also find the chapel of Agios Nicolaos. The rare beauty of this beach is hard to describe. The wild and yet relaxing landscape will leave you speechless with its purity and absolute beauty.
Grias Pidima
This is one of the most beautiful and better known beaches of Andros, close to the bay of Korthi.
Fellos
A beautiful beach with very clean water, near Gavrio. The 5.5-kilometer long sandy beach will immediately impress any visitor. The water here deepens gradually and that is why your children can easily go swimming here.
Chryssi Amos
The Chryssi (or Psili) Amos beach, one of the most beautiful and well known beaches in Andros is in the Gavrio area. The very clear water that glistens under the summer sun describes and justifies its name (Golden Sand).
