Milos

A few words on Milos

One of the most beautiful of the Cycladic islands, Milos is a welcoming and blessed place.  This island will enchant you with its beautiful views, which change from peaceful and paradise like to wild and mysterious.  Apart from the feast of colors, the beauty of the landscape lies in the rare soil morphology with fantastic rock formations.
The movement of the sea through the centuries has carved the rocks according to its taste and has created endless caves and lacy coastlines, which combined with the crystal water form an enchanting natural pluralism of harmony and cleanness.  Visitors can find calm, solitary reflection moments on Milos but can also enjoy all modern comforts offered by a more cosmopolitan oriented vacation destination.

Beaches

Lagadas
Just 600 meters west of the center of Adamandas.  A sandy beach with clear water that deepens gradually, it is ideal for children.

Agios Constantinos Beach
A long sandy beach next to the resort settlement with the same name.  Two small caves on the right side of the beach render themselves for small explorations.

Alogomandra Beach
This gorgeous beach with white sand is located close to the settlement of Agios Constantinos.  It got its name from the tall rocks that surround it forming a ?wall" around it.

Pahaina
A beautiful beach with white and grey rocks and a view to the seagull rocks.  You can find rooms to let in the area.

Kapros Beach
A small beach nested in a cove, it stands out for its jagged coastline. As they fall into the sea, the white rocks form bollards, bridges and small caves you can explore.

Apollonia

The bay of Apollonia is ideal for water sports unless there are strong northern winds, which are common in the area.

Plathenia
A beautiful beach on the northwestern coast of the island.  It is a good place to take a swim after visiting the ancient theater and the catacombs.

Sykia
Just across from mandrakia.  Covered with black pebbles forming a harmonic composition with the crystal-clear water.

Agia Kiriaki

A large beach with large white pebbles and sand.  The sea is very clear with a fantastic emerald color.

Firiplaka
This large, exotic beach attracts many vacationers and is always full.  The sand is light grey in color and the water is blue/green and shallow.  It is characteristic for the huge vertical cliffs that surround it. You will probably not be able to find beach chairs or a cantina here and therefore it is advisable you bring your own gear.

Provatas
This beach attracts many people, not just because of the hotels and restaurants in the area but mainly for its beauty and easy access.  The sand is golden and the water truly crystal, while it is surrounded by multi-colored cliffs, which are reflected in the water.

Gerondas
This beach is famous for its wild beauty but the walk down is rather difficult and takes about ten minutes.

Triades
Beautiful, sandy beaches with shallow water, ideal for small children.

Fatourena
A small sandy beach that does not attract many people, it is ideal for those seeking solitude.

Achivadolimni
A very well-known Milos beach, with a large sandy beach and shallow blue water.  There is a small lake (limni in Greek) behind the beach, which in the past used to be full of conches (achivades in Greek).
