A few words about Paxos
Paxos is a small heaven on earth inside the green-blue waters of the Ionian Sea. Time and sea have left their indelible mark on the island creating edgy, chiseled rocks, wonderful unexplored caves and magical, dreamy beaches.
Beaches
Achai
This is a beach of wild beauty, with wonderful emerald crystal waters. You can only access it by sea and it is on the island?s eastern side on the cove bearing the same name. The equally beautiful Avlaki beach is nearby.
Galazio
You can find this beach on the island?s western coast. Thin, white sand, countless little rocks and bushes and the wide Ionian blue sea. The crystal waters tempt the visitor and promise moments of joyful pleasure and complete relaxation. There are several caves in the surrounding rocks which add to the magic of the scenery. You can only access this beach by the sea. The exquisite beach of Alatio is nearby.
Kipiadi
One of the island?s loveliest beaches. It is a serene, white pebbled beach overgrown with low bushes and crystal, emerald waters.
Kloni Gouli
It is a small beach with blue, clean waters satisfying all visitors with the remarkable beauty of its natural environment.
Loggos , Marmari, Levrechio
A beach of indescribable beauty located on the cove of Longo?s seaside settlement. White pebbles, crystal blue waters and proud pine tress that reach the sea, compose a magnificent scenery.
It is a well-organized beach with infrastructure for all sea-sports, such as sea bicycle, water ski and parachuting. The bottom of the sea is also quite impressive and will satisfy all those Diving lovers. The idyllic sandy beaches of Marmari and Levrechio with the tall cypresses that reach to the crystal waters are quite close.
Moggonisi
The beach circles the little islet bearing the same name. It is covered with white golden sand and has amazing turquoise waters, so it no coincidence that it attracts a great number of visitors. You can indulge yourself in the little taverns and taste traditional appetizers with your cold ouzo or with a glass of the wonderful local wine from the vineyards of Antipaxos.
