Tinos is the island of beauty, faith and art. It always has something new for you to discover, a new optic angle to see, as many times as you may visit it.
Although it is best known for the church of the Panagia the Evangelist in fact hides thousands of treasures unknown to the general public. The peace of the mountainous and rugged landscape offers a thousand emotions on the mountain steps, the dry-stone walling and the green valleys. Scattered white houses in beautiful villages, dovecots, windmills and chapels, examples of popular Aegean architecture, present you with special artistic aestheticism and make it obvious why the island has given birth to some of the most important artists of our country.
On the other hand, as a genuine representative of our Cycladic islands, Tinos has some of the most beautiful beaches of the Aegean, and each year fills up with tourists from all over the world.
Agios Fokas
This is one of the most popular beaches on the island, both because of the endless sand and the proximity to Tinos town. You can easily walk from Chora to end up at this sandy beach with its clear blue water. At noon, the many ?ouzeri? (ouzo bars) along the coast road will supply you with tasty snacks.
Agios Sostis
This is one of the most beautiful beaches on Tinos, on the south coast of the island near the same named village. The name of the area comes from a picturesque chapel, of classical Aegean architecture, to be found on the edge of a rock at the beginning off the sandy beach. The water is shallow and blue, suitable for children, while the visitor can enjoy the view of Mykonos town right opposite.
Kionia
This beautiful beach of Tinos lies below the largest and most luxurious hotel on the island, and thus gathers each year, but especially in summer, crowds of Greek and foreign visitors. The beach of Kionia begins before the entrance to the settlement and on following the coast road, you will reach the main part where most people are concentrated.
Kolymbithra
This is one of the best known beaches on Tinos and lies on the north coast. It is in fact a double bay, with clear water and lovely sand. Bathing here in these surroundings is a special experience.
